As a country, India is seriously over weight with World Heritage Sites, and as I always told Meaghan the Seppoe, "I am not here for a haircut", and as there are a shitload of temples to be seen, we left Goa to go to Hampi.

Now, there are a couple of different ways to get there. Either by sleeper bus, where there is only one company and they have you by the short and curlies, or for a third of the price, the train. Being part Jewish, we took the train !!!

On the day of the trip, before we jumped on, we looked at the list of people who would be sitting in our carriage and it appeared that it was a carriage just for Westerners. By the first stop, the carriage was full with people just speaking English, and we were on our way.

The train arrived late by a couple of hours and then we were mobbed by prickshaw drivers. We haggled over the price, and then we were away. Unluckily for us, we had managed to find the slowest prickshaw around. In fact, I could have walked faster, and then I had to get out and push it up the hill. Needless to say, the price came a long way down !!!

In the morning, off we went to look at Hampi's finest. As we walked, the whole area was strewn with huge river boulders. We climbed over them to get to the temples and they did not disappoint us. The carvings were so well defined and in good condition. Amazing after 500 years. What stood out the most was the monkey god Hanuman. He was in loads of different poses including one of him doing a monkey from behind !!! As we walked around, it became obvious that the temples were to far spread out, so we hired a couple of pushies. A whole new world opened up for us. We peddled for miles, taking it all in, but fuck me, It was so hot. I think living in the UK has made me a softcock or something !!! We carried on until we were finally templed out. As night set in, we were told it could become quite dangerous and we should go back to our hotel for our own safety. Needing to expell some excessive energy, we walked the streets, but sadly, nothing happened !!!

The next four days past us by uneventfully. We slept, looked at temples, ate and then slept some more. Because we are tight fuckers, the trains only run a couple of times a week, so, unlike your average tourist, we have managed to see all of the temples !!!

As far as Hampi is concerned, it really is an impressive sight. There are no polished sets of tits here, unusual, but if you can handle a little bit of bestiality, this is the place for you !!!
