return to. The number one spot was taken by Marrakech by a whopping 94%.
Here might be some reasons why.
There is a square in the centre and on the outside of it are many stands selling freshly squeezed juice and dried fruit and nuts. Of course these people want your trade. On the inside is more interesting. There are acrobats, snake charmers and men with monkeys. As soon as you walk past these people, you obviously want a snake or a monkey draped all over you. Imagine the photo opportunities (which do cost you of course!!!), but the worst is yet to come. There are these boys who have two symbols and they bang them in front of you and they have a kind of a Fez hat thingy on their head which has a long tassle, and they spin this round and round. After about two seconds, they expect money !!! In the night, alot of the acts are packed away and the square becomes one huge eating place. Of course you are going to be asked to eat at every stop!! I even managed to have Moroccos
version of chocolate mud cake. It looked like chocolate and tasted of mud !!! but those little boys with their hats and symbols are still there as well, and I came to the decision that as I am not a violent person and wouldn't hit anyone other than the cyclo drivers in Viet Nam, the moto riders in Vietnam and Cambodia, the horse and carriage riders in Egypt, they are now top of my list.
If I asked to go in the poll today, I could name many more places I would
not return to. Marrakech, I love you !!!
As a parting word, unbelievable as this might seem, I haven't had one drop of
alcohol so far this journey, but those little voices that I kept hearing in
my ears, I had to do something about it. So I did. All I will say is that
Moroccan hashish very is good quality
