Next stop was El Bolson.  Beautiful town right between two mountain peaks with a big Hippie population.  We found a great place to stay that also had a kitchen we could use so that helped us out a lot.  Sometimes, always going out to eat gets old.  We've been making pasta dishes, veggie salads, some steaks and hamburger.  The meat in Argentina is out of this world great.  It's hard to shop for meat at the store though - all the meat packages are dripping on one another and there are all sorts of things that we have clue what they are.  We tend to just get straight from the butcher.
El Bolson had a wonderful craft fair in the Plaza Pagano town square the second day we were there.  I have ever seen so many unique things!  All the booths had interesting stuff.  I was good and only bought one small thing.  After that we got a few beers and hung out in the park where some local bands were playing and a large group of hippies had gathered to chill.   It was very relaxing, we met some nice people and we got to see a new hair style - a dreaded mullet.  Oh you wouldn't believe the hair we've seen!  A lot of guys have their head completely shaved expect for JUST the back of their head.  It's like a big bush - so strange.  I guess it wouldn't ever get in their way.
When buying beer from the grocery store here you have to pay 2.5 extra pesos for each bottle deposit, which you get back when you return the bottle.  So we stored up the bottles and returned them on our way to the bus station.  That's when we found out that you don't get money back in El Bolson but a credit towards your next purchase.  So, Brian and I went through the store and picked up toothpaste and soap and all the important stuff we needed.  We got back into line (which took forever) we then find out you can only buy food - so unfortunately we had to leave all the stuff we needed and bought 4 bags of cookies. Oh well.  They got eaten.
We stayed 2 nights in El Bolson but were ready to go after that.  We had arrived really early that first day and didn't leave until 7pm the last.  That night we took an overnight bus ride across the country to the eastern Atlantic coast of Argentina - Puerto Madryn.
