We have arrived in Osaka and will be promptly off again tomorrow to another new and exciting place (well two tomorrow)

Yesterday we visited Osaka Aquarium home to a manta ray, a large octopus, a whale shark as well as squid, jellyfish, dolphins the list goes on and on. It's an amazing place with tanks 3 or 4 stories deep and to top it off you even get a little boat out to it!

On the way back to town we stopped by universal city (studios) and stumbled upon the takoyaki museum! We are now the proud owners of a takoyaki pan and the accessories to make our own :D

Today we visited Osaka castle after going past it last night, the view from the top was amazing. On such a clear day you could see for miles, then on the way back down you go past an exhibition of armour and all sorts.

There is also a shrine in the gardens that was visited before walking through the cherry orchard which is starting to come into bloom, would love to see it in its full glory.

We then headed to Shitennoji shrine which contained several huge gold Buddha, another spectacular sight!

This evening has been spent packing for tomorrow when we leave for Kyoto via Kobe as well as visiting some gigastores and buying too much to fit into our bags already :/ ¥100 stores will be our downfall!

That's about it for now, over and out.
