Hello to beloveds (ie. friends and family) of the Go Global Team!
The whole team: Amanda, Bethany, Brittany, Claire, Jasmine, Tarryn and Yan have arrived safe and sound in Kyiv the capital of Ukraine.
The flight was long but we amused each other :) Claire's feet swelled like a balloon but she survived and they have now subsided.
Over the last 3 days we have had a fantastic time in Kyiv sightseeing with Tanya our lovely guide who is 24year old and is traveling to Perth in a week.
We have seen amazing places, old churches, buildings, monuments.
We went to a museum of tiny microscopic sculptures created by a famous Ukrainian artist. Who then by chance happened to be walking past. So we got our tickets signed by a Master!!
The Metro here is fast efficient and cheap, even though it is old and dirty and at times just slightly squishy.
The food... um what to say.. It's different but not bad, not bad at all. Surprisingly yum at times.
It consists of lots of bread. Breakfast is bread, cold meat (ham I think??) cucumber, juice and omelet.
On Saturday we will travel to Novagrad and our work in the orphanages will start!! think and pray for us please!
Ok time is up. We will update you soon.
Love from the Ukraine team !!
