After the disaster in Coffs Harbour we decided to leave pretty early (the weather was still horrible).

We went to Grafton which is a pretty cool town, lots of old historic buildings and it was good to get away from the beach for a little while.  We did some more shopping and just hung around town all day.  Bought a large Dominoes pizza for $7, which we thought was a good deal.  However, an Australian large is no bigger than a personal pan pizza in America.  We went down to the river and got ready for the largest fruit bat colony in the world to leave and fly right over us.  While we were waiting I tried some fishing with the rod I bought for $9.72, bargain of the century.

Anyway the bats was quite the sight to see.  Thousands of them flew right over us in a constant stream Bats video

.  Well worth the wait.  It was like nothing I had ever seen before.

After that we started talking to this Australia guy named Aaron who was in town for business.  We talked to him for a while and he invited us to a pub for some beers because he could charge anything to his company.  Anyway he ended up buying us several beers and food, which he all put on his company card.  He told us tons of cool stuff to do as we make our way up the coast.

Because we hadn't planned on being given free food and beer we didn't find a place to sleep for the night.  We ended up parking in a park north of town.  Mosquitoes (mozzies in australian) were everywere.  We ended up swatting mosquitoes until about 3am when we closed the windows.
