After being picked up we were told that the bus we were on was the bus for our tour and that once we got to their depot we should remain on the bus unless we had to go to their office and pay. As we had not paid yet I followed the tour guide down to their office and paid for our tour only to realise the tour guide had left me there. I walked back to where the bus was and it was no longer there.
I walked up and down a line of buses but could not find the bus I arrived on so asked one of the tour company staff who told me to ask another group of staff who then disappeared before I reached them. I eventually located our tour guide who told me where the bus had gone and boarded the bus for the trip to the zoo
After arriving at the zoo we went straight to the breakfast area and began to eat. Not long after the orangutans arrived so we didn't get much time to eat much before queuing up to have our photo taken with the orangutans and holding a reticulated python.
Once we had our photos taken we then went to the feeding time for the polar bears. Managed to get a seat and a good view of the polar bears swimming underwater and eating fish and watermelon.
After the polar bear show we went on a walk around the zoo from the polar bear enclosure around to tram stop 2 checking out various animals on the way including nyala, gnu, rhinos, zebras, ostriches, cheetahs, lions, jaguars and proboscis monkeys.
At tram stop 2 we caught the tram around to tram stop 3 and visited the white tigers, komodo dragons, iguanas, giant tortoises and saw some of the orangutans swinging across the path overhead. We then walked past the Garden with a View overlooking the Upper Seletar Reservoir before making our way back to the zoo entrance to meet our tour guide and catch the bus back to the city.
After arriving back in the city we had lunch then spent the afternoon relaxing by the hotel pool before going out to Purvis Road for dinner. Again we went to Chin Chin Eating House and had some noodles which were great and again very cheap!
