Well, we have now been back in Bangkok for a week. We had to see Adie off on Wednesday evening, and spent Thursday with boring chores like laundry. We finally decided as well on Thursday that we did want to go to Myanmar (Burma) so we planned to head to the Burmese Embassy on Friday morning. Everything went just fine with our applications, and we just had to wait until today (Tuesday) to collect our passports. In the meantime we spent the weekend puttering about the city - we went to the mall and went to a movie. How terribly exotic!! Still, it was exciting for us to have so much normalcy! We went to Jim Thompson's House as well on Monday, which I've been terribly keen to do. He was an American architect who made Bangkok his home in the 50's, and lived here until his disappearance in 1967.

We had planned to head out by night bus tonight to Chiang Mai in the north, but it looks like we might be here another day or two yet.....sadly Malcolm has managed to end up with food poisoning. I can't believe that anything could upset his iron stomach, but something that he ate yesterday certainly wasn't right. So, we've had a bit of a long night of it, and he's still feeling pretty poorly now, but a bit better at least. Still, I'm sure another day or two of rest and watching lots of footie should get him back up on his feet!
Will update more whenever we move on. Hopefully in the couple of days I will get more photos posted as well.

Chocolate Covered What???
'I know a young man who swallowed a cricket. Now he has a tummy ache that is really teriffic!' Please make sure you are recovered completely before heading out again, says Mommy2.
