Well, we made it back okay to Bangkok on Friday evening to give Adie her first taste of the big city. We stayed near to the infamous Khao San Road (backpacker ghetto!!). This area is great for people watching and shopping for tourist tat souvenirs, but it is pretty good fun for all.
On Saturday we did the tourist thing by going to check out the Royal Palace, the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho (pronounced wat poo!!) and then went to check out a super-dooper fancy shopping mall. This mall had a Porsche car dealership in it for goodness sakes! (And oddly on the third floor as well - how would they get the car to the street level?!?!) After that we headed back to our area for a little more tourist shopping and dinner.
Today we are on our way west to Ban Prasat to do a homestay.
