We have arrived safely in yet another capital. Back to civilisation proper and expensive hotel rooms (well $14 expensive!). We have a few chores to do while we are here plus a bit of sightseeing. We have spent our first full day here swanning about town, carrying our dirty laundry and other classy activities. Our eyes have been popping out of our heads at the selection of foods again, this might be our last dose of luxury before we head out to the wild North East.
Public transport is probably at its slowest in Laos and we are lucky to be going on an 11hr bus ride to a town called Phonsavan, that is on the good road!! After that we are heading further away from civilisation and anything resembling a road. Please think of us while we are jolting along a dirt road for 16hrs!
We will keep you updated when and where we find computers with fast hamsters!!

I thought there was a different style of writing on this blog!! well done malcy!! checked out the last lot of photos too, really liked all the ones of the kids, especially when your showing them the photos - (their wee faces!!), It's raining cats and dogs here today, but my eyes are dry and sore!!! My first day back at uni today - i was late and my lecturer said in front of the whole class that i was like a little pixie!! It's funny seeing pics of you malcs you look different - tanned and well traveled!! looking forward to hearing about your tree houses!! enjoy your bus journey!!
