I finally got to experience proper English weather while in the Lake District. My first day there was hazy and cloudy, but alright so I went hiking around in the hills for some pretty views.

The next day though it was all cloudy and drizzly with heavy rain at times. I took the bus around to a few of the villages and wandered around. I had to cut the hiking around short due to cold, wet feet. (I'll post pics one of these days when I can find an i-net cafe that'll let me hook up my USB drive.) I made myself lots of spaghetti at the little kitchen in the hostel there. I like food that's cheap!
I'm now in Liverpool. There's a massively huge cathedral here I went and saw plus visited some of the museums. I went and saw a Beatles tribute band at the Cavern Club last night...that was cool. Today I took a bus out to Penny Lane (with a little difficulty as the driver couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand him - we both speak English!). Penny Lane must have changed over the years 'cuz there's not much there that's sung about in the song. I have the rest of the afternoon to goof off then I'll meet up with my friend, Jayne, and go out to Manchester.
