I'm diggin' in for snowy weather in Hanksville, Utah.  Electricy, Wifi, HOT showers and running water for only $10 a night...feel like I died n'gone to heaven.  A very small town, but endearingly eccentric.  I haven't got the shot of the gas station hollowed into a rock...that's comin'.  I'm using the cold weather snap to get going on my blog and sort my HUNDREDS, actually, it's going on THOUSANDS, now,  of photos...I'm a compulsive photo snapper...obsessed with capturing that perfect shot with my low tech, point and shoot camera.
I took my eyes and Roxi for a stroll around Hanksville to break up my day.  My eyes needed to look at things further away than my computer screen.  I've noticed that the smaller the town, the more space individuals claim for themselves.  Must be part of the "homesteader" instinct.  What small towns lack in numbers, they make up for by sprawling out all over the place just cause they can.
