Sintra 2

(Audrye) Well another day comes and we are on the go again. We all take showers again before we leave cuz we have no idea when the next chance will be that we get to take showers. Some of the clothes still aren't dry so we pack them in some netted bags. We leave the hotel at around 11:30 and walk to the metro where we plan to go to a near by train station to take a 40 minute train to Sintra (a city in Portugal). All goes well and we arrive in Sentra in mid-afternoon. Leaving our bags with the ticket people at the train station we head out for a beautiful afternoon. Shortly after beginning to walk we take a break to eat our late lunch. The weather was perfect for most of us, though perhaps a bit cold for Audrye. It was a quaint little place with small roads but gorgeous greenery. Small castles inhabited the town in unpredictable areas. After walking around we made our way back to Lisbon and walked around the city for a bit again, slowly making our way back to the train station. However before returning we made a short detour to the "beach" and air dried the rest of our damp clothes. I must say we were quite a sight to see, I'm sure!!! From there we made our way to the train and loaded up for Madrid (Spain). Though not the most comfortable place to sleep it was a long enough train ride to get some shut eye and feel at least a bit rested.
