Why is it that Dutch people prefer to give wrong directions rather than to simply say "I don't know"...?? Has been an unsolved mystery since the first day I got here.
And yes, it is once again COLD. I realise that I haven't stopped talking about the weather re:Holland, but that's pretty much all there is to Holland... that's all people talk about (apparently, from what people tell me... but I wouldn't know because I still don't speak Dutch! I know.. shocking huh? And very un-me-like). And can you hear the negativeness in my voice? It's the weather! It's the cold! It's the RAIN!
But, nevertheless, there are lots and lots of exciting things waiting to happen! Next next weekend - on the 9th June, we're going to Germany! yay! We're going to do a little road trip to Maik's hometown where apparently the people there are soccer-crazy. We'll be driving in two cars, and all ten of us will be staying at Maik's house.
Umm... what else? I plan to go to Cologne (Germany) on the 20th June also. This is once again for the worldcup... (chunk cut out)
UMM... I'm also excited about Millie coming. I haven't heard anything from Naima, but I hear from Krissy that she's coming too... That's all in July right? GUYS - make sure you let me know of your plans ASAP cos I'll end up going straight home from here if I don't hear from you! The only reason why I'd stay in Europe is to see you guys. Also, Lynda is coming here in the end of June which will be lots of fun; and Lucine? Are you reading this? You still coming???
Umm.. okay, so i have less plans than I thought. lol.
I guess it's all soccer-oriented now that it's finally June.
Oh yeah, that's right - Nick, Craig, and I have been talking about going to Denmark, maybe end of June or begining of July (Chenthy, one of Nick's friends, is going there to study for the "summer"). That will be FUN. And then for the rest of July, I think I want to spend it in Spain with Diego, Fernando, and Clara. I want to try and come back home before July finishes, only because I'm so seriously broke... but we'll see. It might end up costing more to change flight dates..
So that's my update for my plans for June and July.. The sememster here ends in June. I'm getting rather sad just thinking about it. It's so soon before saying goodbye to these people FOREVER (and you guys know how bad I am at saying goodbyes!). I think it will be quite hard because this is the longest (after Ghana.. and oh my god Ghana...!!) time I have spent abroad in one country with the same people. Even though everyone I live with is fucking weird; I still love them!
BUT, having said all that, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN!
