we left magnetic with our ssi open water certificates, heaps of drunken party photos, a sunburn and a wicked hangover.  caught the oz bus to cairns yesterday with a new crew, who turned out to know alot of the other people we were traveling with and called ahead to book us all together in gilligans luxury backpackers resort.  its literally heaven for backpackers, its by far the sickest hostel you could dream of staying in and our group is awesome.

the bus stopped at a crocodile ranch, were we watched them feed raw pig to 5meter crocs.  got a picture with lizards, snakes, parrots, got to hand feed tame kangaroos, saw a cassowary (man killing bird thats extremely intimidating and kinda humerous at the same time)  and got to play with domesticated dingo pups (soo cute and playful)  then powered through to cairns

last night was australia day, so you can imagine what the clubs were like.  a shit show would be putting it lightly.  by the time we got checked in and put on a clean tshit, it was only 5:30 or so and all the ozzies were already floor lickin drunk.  we eat a free dinner and had a few pints downstairs of gilligans and had a free dinner (almost every bar has a free dinner with your first drink to try to intise u to party there) and then went to rhino bar and met our friends at the end of their pub crawl.  they were hammered to say the least.  we drank hard at power hour, from 8-9pm and 10-11pm, where for $8AUD you can drink as much as u can.  i had 12 drinks in the second hour.  we powerdrank all night  like we were in highschool and stumbeled over to the woolshed to dance on tables and sweat like we just got outta the shower until 3 am or so.  it was awesome, i had the most fun id had in a long time.  this morning was a different story...

we booked an all day dive trip for tomorrow with the austrian girls, time to make use of our ssi certificates.  it leaves at 6:45 am and sails from port douglas to the outer greater barrier reef where the visibility off the end of the shelf is supposed to be amazing.  no hangovers for us tomorrow.  well, i guess only time will tell....

ill end with another quote, as that seems to be the popular choice lately
"treat life like a dog.
if you can't shag it or eat it,
piss on it and walk away"
