This is our second full day in Noosa, a ritzy smaller version of Byron Bay just north of Brisbane. its been a nice oppertunity to chill and recover for a few days. yesterday i spent the better party of the day just relaxing after surfing in the morning. the waves here are awesome, and the water is crystal clear. if only there werent a billion with the same idea to go surfing, the water is packed and i got run over more than a couple times. still pretty killer just to be out there when its wicked hot.
this morning we actually woke up a respectable time (8 or 9am) and hiked 4 hours along the coast and throught the national park that borders town. didnt see any koalas, but heaps of lizards, birds, and small animals. the beaches on the other side werent as busy and looked like something off the movie "the beach"
it hard to plan making our own food or going out to buy beer when theres a pub downstairs that has $11 jugs of draught and $12 kick ass dinners. its a fairly small place so there not too much for party (for the first time since weve been here) but we still manage to find cool travelers to drink copious amounts of jugs until close. im gonna help sean book ahead some hostels and bus trips cause the summer season here makes it wicked hard to find any vacancies. then im gonna have a beer, a smoke, and run down to the beach for an afternoon surf for a couple hours before dinner now that its not so blarring hot. hope you guys are making out alright back home with the snow...
