Our early night last nite (2 am) and early wake up this morning (5:45am) was totally in vain when we waited foolishly for a bus that doesnt even run on sundays, some sort of mix up at OZ Experience head office. such is the life of independant travelers i guess... we were hoping to bus to Noosa this morning because we were expecting to dislike Brisane, but we were both pretty suprised. its a very clean, asthetic, and welcoming city. theres definetly some skids and wackos wandering around in at 2am, but where isnt there really? So no huge dissapointment to stay another nite, just throw on some jeans and a collared shirt and rip it up in "the valley" (a kick ass party district just outside of downtown, comparable to granville st in van, but alot busier and no cover/small cues)
Some friends we met in surfers came up for a quick drink yesterday, which is a reference for we got pretty hammered, who headed off this morning. the night before we ripped it up in the 'down under bar' below our hostel. it had $10meal+pint deals and cheap drinks all night. some wierdos and a runt little bouncer that was begging for a punch in the face, but nothing out of the ordinary. drinking sambuca all night with the british girls from our oz bus was a bad choice, because i felt like ass all the next day until we got drunk again. story of my life...
so its our last night here, then noosa, then fraser island, then magnetic island, then whitsundays, then cairns and so on if everything gos to plan. which is pretty rare... thought id finish off with some words of wisdom from a backpacker in Brizzie "women aren't like dogs, you cant pretend to throw a ball and hide it behind your back. they know whats up, they'll find the ball." not sure i completely comprehend the deeper meaning yet, but it is kinda funny...
bye Anna and Diana, see you in Switzerland! Kate and Sophia, good luck with the hostel manager in Surfers... Martin, Nicolas, and Fredric: "hey la te-ya!" see you guys in fraser. Cogan and Tex, dont forget your camera, keys, wallet, shirt, shoes and cell phone.
