a semi early wake up, and we hit the road again.  never to return to Mt Gambier again...
our spirits were kinda low starting the drive, after a quick breakfast and a bunch more boring open road we hit Victoria.  it was an instant improvment with winding roads, rolling green hills and dense forests.  the rest of the drive seemed to go by pretty fast until we hit the start of the great ocean road.  then BAM!!! whicked beautiful white sandy beaches, aqua torquise and blue/green water.  possibly the most beautiful place ive ever been.

the first pull over was called the 12 apostles because of sa bunch of rock formations made by the ocean eating away at the shore line, so cool.  we meandered along a super windy coastal road and stopped in Apollo Bay for a coffee/beer break.  Such a cool small hippie type town, i would have liked to stay for awhile but we had to get the whicked camper back to melbourne before the 5 days was up

we cruised along until we hit the next town of Lorne.  also a beautiful place, where we decided to make camp at a camper site along the highway behind a grocery store.  we tried making cogans special (tuna and sidekicks) which sucked ass but got the job done.  then we pounded a couple of beers and headed to the only bar in town.  there we met a girl from Canada (Niss) and two local ozzies from Torquay (Allysa and Georgia, one of the coolest girls ive ever met) who invited us to play a drinking game called 'fuck the dealer.' needless to say we got pretty trashed...

turned out those girls were staying at the same site as us, so i wheeled the van over drunk off my ass and almost ran over my surf board and hit a couple of trees.  we partied until morning, then i guess expectedly the ranger came and told us politely to 'pack up our shit and get out' haha.  we were leaving anyways, just after a nice lesurley breakfast
