Not too sure if the date is right, but Sean and i had enough of the city and were ready to move on to some nature.  We had planned on renting (or hiring, as they say in oz) a car, but the insurance and one way fees were ridiculous.  Not to mention no companies really seemed interested in renting us a vechile (do we look dodgy or something? prob sean...)  so we hired a whicked camper for 5 days to drive the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide to Melboune.

Driving on the wrong side of the road was kinda sketchy.  I was driving, and after we stopped for a break at (Ponga?) water reserve, i drove for about 10 min on the wrong side and came a few feet from a head on! (hope your not reading mom) it was pretty crazy.  we got highschool drunk that nite...

The first night took us to Rapid Bay (close to Victor Harbour) just south of Adelaide.  We parked in a campsite right on the beach for $15 and made a dinner out of our camper.  kick ass homemade chilli from scratch, mixed greens with onion and tomaotoe and balsamic, and box wine.  really good. There were a group of really rad and super friendly ozzies camping with us.  Fox introduced himself and we went with him and met everyone else.  Everybody had nicknames that all started with an 'F.'  Fox, Fairy, Foliage, Floss....that sorta thing.  We played glowstick tetherball in the dark, i went splunking hammered (fucking crazy!!!!) and we all got pretty sloppy.  A really really good time, even though i was pretty hung over the next morning.

If any of the snakepit crew reads this, thanks for an awesome time!  your guys are rad, and it was nice to meet some genuine ozzies.  ozzie ozzie ozzie, oi oi oi!
