Another amazing, fun-filled day at Summer Camp. And yes, we did survive the night at Fawlty Towers!

Today was mostly spent on the beach and catching a few waves (or being drowned in them). If anything the love that the kids have for us has grown. We all find it so incredible that they have so much love for us. They shower us in complements, telling us we have beautiful hair and gorgeous eyes. In some ways we all feel quite inadequate because they are the ones that are changing our lives. They crave our attention, love and touch. A hug means so much more to them than it does to you and I. Most of them (boys and girls) are more than happy to spend the afternoon cuddling up to you. They have such a strong need to feel close to someone and although we can't do much we can show them that someone does care about them.

One of my favourite moments of today was in the sea with one of the girls who was clinging onto me while we jumped rough and rather immense waves. She was laughing so much, the glee on her face made me stop and take note of the moment. I will never forget it. She literally loved every second of it. Of course the boys were also loving their time in the sea with Rich and Fraser throwing them into the water. Our time in the sea though would not be complete without a few attempted drowning sessions of the SC team by a few of the boys!

As promised we were treated to the Pete Cole entertainment extravaganza which included fire juggling! The kids absolutely love Pete and look forward to seeing what he has in store for us. They were transfixed as Pete showed his skill with the fire batons and the diablo (video to follow).

Well we are all off to bed for some much needed rest and recharge the batteries for another crazy day of Summer Camp.
