Here we go again...

The last few weeks have seen a maelstrom of activity here at TT HQ in Salisbury. The run up to Christmas is always busy here. It starts in early autumn with the Harvest appeal for Salisbury foodbank then activity shifts over to our Bulgaria Christmas box appeal before switching back to preparing Christmas food boxes for local people in need. On top of all this regular stuff our Social Enterprise team has been working hard to open a new shop in Salisbury's Catherine Street and our foodbank network team and PR dept. have been working hard on national food collections and appeals in the media.

The key to all these projects is our amazing donors. We simply could not do any of this without people giving their time and money and this can really be seen with the Bulgaria Christmas box appeal. Hundreds of people have been involved in preparing the boxes for transport and distribution- that;s on top of more than 7,000 people who donated presents to the appeal.

Here's a few pics from the last month; there'll be more to follow over the next two weeks as we give out the presents in orphanages, refugee centres, Roma communities, rural schools and women's refuges among other places.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported this year's appeal; whether you have made a box or you gave up your time to help us sort and pack you have done an amazing job. I hope what follows helps to give a sense of what it is like to give out the boxes and that you will be able to see just how much it means for the people to receive your presents.
