Yesterday I awoke
to having my new, expensive, flipflop Teva sandals missing from outside my
bungalow. I understand it could
have been worse, like having my computer, camera or passport stolen, but dam,
who steels a persons shoes? The absolute best sandals I’ve ever owned, they
were so comfortable.

In the afternoon
I went exploring the island on my motorbike. I stopped off at a little cove
with rocks and reefs to check it out. With camera in hand I ventured out on the
reef to try and capture an image or two only to discover that the reef was as
slippery as ice. Not having my skates on, my left leg went flying outwards,
catapulting my body backwards and onto the reef. I landed on my hand and saved
my swinging camera from smashing into the rocks. The trade off was that my big
left toe got gashed by the barnacles on the reef and opened up a good wound.
Needless to say, my day of exploring was over and heading back to my bungalow
for some dressing. A girl from Switzerland had a little medical pouch and with
it saved my toe and thus, saved my life. Ha.

Troy's baby sister on

So sorry about your stolen shoes. That royally sucks and it sounds like they were a great pair! Ouch about your toe! I'm so glad someone was able to help you out and I hope it doesn't get infected. Take good care of yourself big bro! xo You have twins to be an uncle to when you get home ;)

VB on

Boys or girls? I think we have some clothes from our twins that we could forward.

We're not sure of the sexes yet...too soon to find out. Anything forwarded would be greatly appreciated and very kind :)! We're excited about the twins for sure! Our 12-week ultrasound is Christmas Eve! woohoo. They will love their uncle Troy, that's for sure! xo
