I slept like a baby.  Once again the earplugs came to my rescue.  So well in fact that I almost overslept as I couldn't hear my alarm.  We got it all together, had breakfast and went downstairs to grab a cab.  Bart decided to hail his own vs. allowing the hotel to make the arrangements as they were quoting a fixed price and Bart wanted a metered ride as he was sure it would be cheaper.   Bart was a little sensitive about believing the Ticos regarding the price of things as the night prior a Tico tried to take advantage of Bart at the gas station.  In CR the gasoline stations are all full-service (Remember those days?).  When Bart went to pay the attendant he was given a bill for over $80.  There was no way our vehicle took $80 to fill-up, especially since we were only 3/4 empty.  Bart realized that the attendant had not zeroed the pump from the previous customer and was trying to double charge us.  Bickering ensued and finally the owner gave Bart a refund and charged him the proper price.

Unfortunately the only cabs available were about the size of a Toyota Corolla, which was challenging given our considerable luggage.  We looked like those clowns at the circus piling into those little cars.  Of course we then had to listen to Bart announce how it wasn't his luggage that was taking up all the room and how he had even overpacked.

We arrived at the airport and sure enough, the meter was less expensive than the hotel cab quote, which thrilled Bart to no end.  It may have even been the highlight of the trip for him.  My cousin is right-  the nut doesn't fall far from the tree!

The ticket agents at Spirit were accomodating on the flight home- My cousin got his aisle seat, Doug got his window and I got some sleep.  A perfect flight and another great Cousin Trip had come to an end!

An English writer named Charles Colton once wrote, "The writer that does the most is the one who gives his reader the most knowledge- and takes from him the least time."  I hope that you all have enjoyed reading about our adventure and that it has proven to be time well-spent!
