Hoi An Old Town is a Unesco World Heritage site.  Our hotel was a bit away so we used the free bikes and headed 2 km to the beach.  The beach was polluted, lots of cigarette butts wash up to shore probably from the fisherman.  We only stayed for about an hour and then went back to the hotel to swim.  We kept the bikes and headed to the Old Town, even though its less congested it was still a bit tricky maneuvering between motorbikes.  The Old Town is charming, lots of alleyways and interesting sights along the way, temples and bridges, etc.  We made the mistake of going through one of their traditional markets, it was too hot to deal, extremely cramped and loads of fishy smells.  Hoi An is the place to be if you want something tailored, half of the shops or more are tailors.  It would've been nice to get a winter jacket or jeans...maybe another time.
