Well, I loved Seljuk. We got there late at night and checked into our hostel. We went to bed early because we had a big day ahead of us.

We decided to get a tour here because we wanted to know the history and what everything was that we were seeing.

The first thing we saw was the Temple of Artemis. I have now seen TWO of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. There was so much history here that the tour really helped because I can't even remember everything she told us.

The next stop on our tour was the ancient city of Ephesus. Now this was an amazing site. More than anything else that I have ever wanted to see in my life, I have always wanted to see the Celsus Library. I never knew where it was, but you would have to imagine how excited I was to go to Ephesus and all of a sudden seeing it! It was an amazing. I couldn't believe that I was standing there looking at this amazing library.

After the library, we had lunch and then went on a short tour of a Turkish pottery store. They use the same techniques that they used 500 years ago. It was beautiful.

After this, we were given a choice to see the Ephesus Museum or the Virgin Mary's House. I chose the Virgin Mary's house. It is where John took Mary after Jesus died and he built her a house at the top of the mountain. The house that is up there has been rebuilt but there are still some parts of it that are original. It was a small, two roomed house. You can only take pictures of it outside. When you walk in, there is a small room with two small, single person pews in the back with candles along the walls, and a statue of Mary at the front of the room. The room to the right is a small room with a table and some art. After you leave the house, you walk down and there are three fountains that we are told were blessed were holy water and each one will bless you with health, wealth, or love. We drank from all three. I've been told that I am now a pilgrim because the site has been blessed by the Vatican and I have seen so many holy sites.

After Mary's house, we went to the Isa Bey Mosque. It was built in the 12th century and they used some of the columns of the Temple of Artemis to build it. It is sad that they tear down one thing to build another. That is how two of the seven wonders was destroyed.

After the Mosque, it was the end of the tour and there were still things that we wanted to see. So we left the tour and made our way to Saint John's Basilica. The basilica was built on top of over his grave. The pope has been to this site as well although I can't remember which one.

This was the best sites I have seen so far. I really enjoyed Seljuk. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to go here.
