Sorry it's taken me so long to update my blog. It's been busy here and I have to go to a café for the internet.

Well I've been in Antalya for two weeks now and it has been the best place I've gone so far. The humidity is still high but the weather here is nicer and I don't have to stay inside all day because it's too hot out. It's still really hot though. But I do like it here. The beaches are beautiful. The area to sight-see is small (the main downtown core area) and close to where we are staying. I like that it's small enough that I can easily find my own way around when I'm by myself.

The one thing that I forgot to say that I did in Adana is that we went for coffee one night and we had our coffee grounds read. I don't remember what she said but she guessed my number that she told me to pick. It was cool, but it was hard to get it all because Sait had to translate it all for me.

I went to a Turkish bath (hamam) as well. It really was quite different. But it was nice. And it was a lot cheaper here than going to a spa in Canada. The only thing was that they wanted to charge me tourist price and charge Sait and his family the local price. His mom got really mad at them because I was there as their guest. They finally agreed to give me the local price too.

I'm starting to get a pretty good tan here now. The humidity makes sure you're covered in sweat the whole time which is giving my skin a really nice healthy, dewy glow that really heightens the color. When I come home I'm going to be really tanned.

Antalya is an old city that was built within the walls of a castle. There are walls and towers still standing that make the city absolutely beautiful. There is history all around it. It makes up the old city. We did some shopping at the bazaar in the old city and the shop keeper was really a character. He spoke a little bit of English and was really talkative with me and Sait. We couldn't help but buy something from him.

There is a harbour that we went to here and we took a short boat tour of the area. It was beautiful. We went around and saw some of the cliffs, resorts that are built into the cliffs, and some caves. It was really nice.

We did some window shopping and we passed a pet shop and I got to see a monkey. They had two that they sell as pets. It was kind of cool to see.

We also went to Side. It was one of the nicest places and I wish I could have spent more time there. There, I got to see the Temple of Apollo and the Temple of Athena. I also got to see more camels there. We went to Side to see a show called Fire of Anatolia ( It is like the Turkish version of Riverdance. And we got to watch it in an antique theatre. It really was quite a nice night.

I finally got to have my pina colada on the waterfront. And they really made quite a good show of it. It had an umbrella and some fancy toothpicks and to top it off, they put sparklers in it.

The last few days in Antalya we went to see the mini city and the museum. The museum had quite a nice display of marble statues. It was amazing to see them all. The mini city shows all of the most historical and famous sites Turkey has to offer. The details on them were amazing.

On Monday, we are leaving Antalya to see some more sites and taking a few days to get up to Istanbul. Until then...
