Well, Ankara has been kind of slow. Sait has been studying for his final and for his assignment. We've gone out a few times, but most of the sites I want to see are not here. The traffic still gets to me. I can't believe how close people get and not hit each other.

I've seen a lot of the government buildings here. This being the capital has most of those buildings. We have also gone for dinner to a fish restaurant.

My favorite thing that we have done here is the bazaars. They are so exciting. There are so many people and so much stuff to see. There are guys yelling out trying to get people's attention and pull them to their stands. It's quite loud. We went to a smaller bazaar up the street from Sait's house and we stayed there for 3 hours. I can only imagine what the larger bazaars will be like.

There is also a pair of turtle doves that comes to the window every morning waiting to be fed. They are quite beautiful birds. I am trying to get them to eat out of my hand.

I have been trying lots of new food here. I tried Doritos Alla Turka. They were ok. I guess there is another kind that I haven't tried yet. This one was a cheese flavor with sesame seeds in it. Too many seeds. I just wanted to try it cause it was Doritos. There are lots of brand names here though.

There are markets and pharmacists everywhere. They are every couple stores down from each other. There are fruit and vegetable stands everwhere. You are never very far from anything. If you run out of something, you can just go downstairs and pick it up to cover you till you go to where you normally go (the food bazaar is every Saturday and everyone stocks up then cause it's cheaper).

It will be interesting to see how the country changes after we start going south. I think we will leave sometime next week. Until then, hope everyone at home is well.
