Day 1
Caught the train to Geneva via Lyon, where Julian and Andy were waiting for us at the station. At Geneva covers the border, the platform of our train was in France, and the actual train station itself was in Switzerland!! They took us for a walk around Geneva, we stopped for a coffee in the old town. Walked through a big park and saw old men playing chess with giant pawns. For dinner that night they cooked us a lovely meal of pasta and Emma even made a chocolate cake, which, even though I don't usually like chocolate cake, thought it was amazing!
Day 2
Slept in for a long time! Went to the Red Cross Museum, then into the mainshopping area where I bought a watch (a must do in Switzerland). Went out for dinner to a Swiss restaurant called 'Swiss Chalet', where we had raclette and fondue. Wasn't too sure about the fondue but it was amazing, one of the food highlights of the trip!! After that we went to a local bar for some drinks with their friends.
Day 3
Woke up early and caught the train to Lausanne. I wandered around and had a coffee and Mr S went to the Olympic Museum. We then went to Montreux, where we visited Chateau Chillon. Had a kebab for dinner.
