After work, I met up with Clay on the cnr of King and Bourke Streets, and we ran to the Skybus terminal to catch our bus to Melbourne's Tullamarine.  After a surprisingly short trip to the airport (the Skybus gets to use a special lane other cars aren't allowed to be in!), we exited the bus at the 'Domestic' terminal.  I can't wait for the day I get off that same bus at the 'International' terminal.  Hopefully next year :D

We arrived in Adelaide quite late in the evening, and went to the Belgian Bier Cafe before going back to our hotel, Medina Grand Treasury.  The hotel itself is built in the former Heritage-Listed former Treasury building.  Clay's mum knew someone that worked there, so we had an underground tour of the building, twisting sandstone passageways and underground vaults, very exciting!  You could imagine there being ghosts in there...the tour guide said there was meant to be something down there.  Spooky!

The next morning Clay and I awoke and wandered down to Rundle Mall.  We had breakfast at a little cafe next to David Jones Foodhall (can't remember the name, but they had amazing coffee!!).  We wandered around and lookled at a few stores, then went to see the V8 Supercars!
Was a fun day, we had seats in the grandstand opposite the pit-stop lane.  Was so funny to see about 10 men run out and fix so many things with the car in about 30 seconds, when it takes them basically the whole day to do the same thing at your local car service centre!
Met up with Clay's cousin, who lives in Adelaide, and was at a 'Corporate Marquee' for his work there.
After the V8 Supercars day, we went out for dinner to a little Italian restarant in the main street, then walked around looking for somewhere to go out afterwards.  We couldn't find a thing, so just went back to the hotel!

Woke up on the last morning and planned on going to Glenelg for half the day.  Clay's mum thought we wanted to see the V8 Supercars for the whole 2 days so had bought us whole day tickets.  Nooooooo...I wanted to explore more of the city so was a bit upset.
Instead we went for a wander down to Rundle Mall and had breakfast at the same little cafe as yesterday (wasn't taking any chances when the coffee was so good!).
Walked down and checked out a couple of churches (for which the city is known).  Walked along the River Torrens (?) and walked through a lovely park (not sure of the name, oops!)
Had some pictures taken next to these gorgeous pig statues in Rundle Mall, and bought some baguettes from David Jones Food Hall to take to the racetrack, as it was SO expensive to buy food there.
Another day of Supercar action, after which we went out to a lovely Italian cafe (in the middle of nowhere, sort of near the race track.  I would love to go there again!) and had dinner there.
After that, we went to the airport to catch quite a late flight home (around 9pm) and saw one of the race car drivers (Bagwanath I think!??) and sat next to numerous Grid-Girls, which Clay was very happy about.
Great time had by all, would definitely love to come back and check out Glenelg!
