We woke quite early today, Allison and Andy decided to take us to a secret place today, they ended up taking us on a day-trip to Windsor castle and Oxford!

Windsor castle was the first stop, and we had the obligatory photos against the castle.  We explored the beautifully manicured gardens, and the Queen's garden, which is only open for a few weeks a year I believe!  Explored Windsor town, and had a look through a few quaint shops there, including a gorgeous Christmas shop (mum would love it).

Driving through the English countryside is a thing not all travellers to England would experience.  London is like any other big city, and you get those everywhere.  I felt so lucky to be staying with my family here and seeing this other side of the country...it's just beautiful!

Next stop was Oxford.  Imagine going to school here...it looks just like a fairytale village.  Old school buildings with turrets and spires, manicured ovals, old town square with loads of shops (bought a cool necklace and nice earrings from Miss Selfridge!).

After wards and on the way home we stopped at a gorgeous country pub called the 'Trout Inn'.  They had gorgeous gardens with a pond/stream with peacocks!   I had the best meal I have had in a while here.  Lovely English Traditional food, yummy!

Went to bed REALLY early tonight, and there were a few tears from me and Allison as I won't see her in the morning.  We have to catch a cab to Gatwick Airport at 4.15am!!
