Left Prague quite early to get the bus to Telc, which is a UNESCO protected town 2.5 hours south of Prague, near the Austrian border.

We got on the bus, was lovely as it was full of Czechs making their way to the countryside.  There was only one other tourist on the bus, a lovely older American  man making his way to Telc also :)

Arrived in Telc and missed our bus stop which our hotel was right next to...we had to walk for 20 mins to get back there, it was a stinking hot day but it allowed us to see the whole town, where the restaurants, post office was, etc.

We went to the Czarny Oriel (flash hotel in the main square) for lunch, and then slept for a while, we were so unbelievably tired!  Woke up hours later, it was suddenly 10pm so we had to rush back out to get some food, as nothing is open late/early in Europe!  The only thing open was the Czarny Oriel, and the waiter was less than pleased with serving us at such a time, even though there were still tables of diners.  He begrudgingly said "You can only have soup".  Errr...isn't soup already cooked, all you would have to do is ladle it into a bowl???   We have discovered the worst service in Europe is most definitely in the Czech Republic...leagues worse than anywhere else!

They have gorgeous, cheap Czech crystal here so we bought some pieces to take home.  We went to the Chateau and sat in the lovely gardens in the sunlight.  This was definitely a highlight of the trip!
