It feels very surreal to have made it all the way back to Wiltshire. To think I have been walking the last four months and have reached home, 992 miles(857.20 now raised, and climbing, thankyou). It seems that the last couple of weeks has just flown by, one day I had just come off the Pennine Way and now I am Wiltshire!! I have met up with friends which is nice. I am staying with Elaine & Ron and their Bassett Hounds Amber, Freddie and Barnie. Elaine was also able to join me on part of the walk from Seagry to Sutton Benger with one of her Bassett Hounds, Freddie, along with Teresa and her sons Springer Spaniel, Jake and friend Adam. Thankfully the rain held off for us, so we stopped off at the pub for a drink! I am now having a couple of days off catching up with friends and my emails!! Just because I have reached home does not mean I have finished!! I shall be off walking again on Saturday heading into Chippenham, (stopping off at Jollye's Pet Shop around 1pm, if anyone wants to meet me) and then on to Biddestone. I shall then be staying with friends Lynne & Robb. Then it is back to my tent so I hope the weather improves!!! Sunday I shall be walking from Biddestone to Batheaston. On Monday I continue with the Limestone Link Way through Monkton Combe to Coombe Hay. Tuesday I carry on with the L.L.W to Radford, and then lanes through Paulton to Old Mills, Mid-Somer Norton. Wednesday from Old Mills more lanes through Clapton, Old Down, Emborough towards Binegar where my dad lives. I shall have Thusday off to catch up with him and his partner Lesley. Friday I shall head off again along more lanes through Gurney Slade, Thrupe, Croscombe to North Wooten. Saturday I will be heading towards Glastonbury to join the Samaritans Way South West to Street.
