Even though I am close to home I am still doing walks that I have not done before. Like paths through Chedworth Woods, some lovely bridle ways (with no Hawthorn hedges or nettles!!) with some great views over the Cotswold area. I forgot to mention, Carrie , who joined me when I was walking the Macclesfield Canal, raises alot of money for various dog charities through the K9 Rescue Knitting Club. So if you think you would be interested in helping out by becoming a member of the K9 Knitterati or you have a four legged friend who may benefit from a warm coat, then please check out www.k9knitters.co.uk     And remember that 100% of the money raised goes to a variety of dog charities. This year, so far they have raised £1170, of that, 46% is going to Dogs Trust, 50% to Ashbourne Animal Welfare and 4% to Oldies Club. Well done to Carrie and the many Knitterati. :)

Autumn arrived early?
 . The route is shortened as I am having a couple of days off catching up with friends and hopefully getting a bit of press coverage. MONDAY 1st Sep- From Cirencester I shall be following the Monarch Way through Tarlton, to Rodmarton. TUE- From Rodmarton I shall take a lane to the A433, cross over into Stonehill lane, which joins the fosseway, an old roman road. I shall follow this to Brokenborough and then lanes and paths to Burton Hill, Malmesbury. WED- I shall then follow paths from Burton Hill to Startley. Walk up the lane a little, then through Seagry Wood, under the M4 and more paths through Sutton Benger to Kellaways, my home, (was!!) THURS & FRI- No walks. SAT- Following the river Avon from Kellaways to Chippenham and then lanes to Biddestone. SUN- At Biddestone I join the Macmillan Way and head for Box and follow lanes till I reach the Limestone Link Path that will lead me to Batheaston
