This week has been a busy one. I have visited the Dogs Trust Centres at both Honiley, Kennilworth and on Sunday I visited the Centre at Wickhamford, Evesham. It was a pleasure to meet everybody. I was shown around, met all the dogs. I was told all that was involved from the time these dogs arrive to the time a new owner is found and beyond, as after care for these dogs and new owners is very important. I noticed that the people I met did not view this work as a job, it is a passion. It is hard seeing those lovely dogs in Kennels, but knowing that through such hard work and dedication, they will atlast find new loving homes. Wickhamford has an Open Day on 31st August, so if you are in the area please in along. Word is spreading about the walk, thanks to radio and local papers. Thankyou to all the people who have donated, too many to mention, ones like Nanci, from Alcester, who donated her pocket money. Thankyou also to Lintbells, they have not only supplied Ben with Salmopet, (salmon oil that helps maintain a shiny coat and joints supple)  hoping he can join me on more of the walk, they have also kindly offered to donate a percentage of their sales of Salmopet to 'Trish's Trudge'. So please check them out at . I have to say, even after a week, both Padi and I have noticed that Ben's coat is looking alot healthier. We are eating well too. Today I found Dryad's Saddle, wild mushrooms growing on either elm, beech or sycamore trees. We had it with some pasta and sauce, very tasty! 929 miles completed and I have now reached the Cotswold villages of Broadway and Broad Campden. Today I made it to Blockley. I feel so close to home (not the finish though!), should reach Chippenham in a week to 10 days and catch up with all my friends and supporters. :)
