Have now left the Pennine Way which I shall miss as there is a great comradeship along the walk. I have met some great  people, either just out for the day, or doing the Pennine Way and a couple walking Lands End to John O'Groats. I'm not the only one who loses the Pennine Way! I met a few lads yesterday who like me had it all, maps, compass and navigator, and they lost the path. To their embarrassment their mates who had nothing but a small pocket book about the Pennine Way did not lord the path! Today I have had Paris for company :) , we have walked the Etherow-Goyt Valley Way from Torside Reservoir on the A628 to the Etherow Country Park at Compstall. I am looking forward to tomorrow, not only will I have the nice change of walking the Macclesfield Canal but I shall have the company of Carrie (a supporter of Oldies Club)and her three dogs.
