Have met up with Silke and Stella in Edinburgh. They have Oldies Club's only sponsor dog. Not long after Feebee came to be fostered by Silke and Stella, she became ill with some auto-immune disease. The vets bills so far is atleast £1,200!! (From this story alone you can see why lots of money needs to be raised, vets bills for these older dogs runs into thousands!! But for all the joy and devotion these older dogs give us, they not only deserve the best forever homes, but also the best treatment.) It was decided that Feebee would not be adopted out and moved on, so Oldies Club is sponsoring her to stay where she is, and where she can get the best treatment. I am happy to say that after she was put on steroids, she has improved alot, and is once again enjoying her walks and seems very happy. A big thankyou to her (and to Silke and Stella) for letting Ben and me stay for a couple of nights. Thankfully Ben was on his best behaviour, he can be a grumpy old man!!! I have been looked after well and had nice couple of days rest.
Will be heading up to my friend Doris later today, and then from Liberton (across the Pentland hills) to the Dogs Trust Centre at West Calder, Edinburgh on Friday. Shall be leaving the Dogs Trust Centre on Sunday to head back again for the Pentland hills. If anybody would like to join me please call me on 07773393786. I really would love the company. And please don't forget to help me raise money for these dog charities. :-) If you want to pay by PayPal you can pay via trishandben@hotmail.co.uk
