Arrived in Ecuador late last Tuesday night. Spent the next few days exploring Quito and stayed at the Secret Garden Hostel in the Old Town district. Great Hostel, wonderful views of Quito. Took a cable car up to 4100 m above sea level for panoramic views of the city (see photos). Friday, hopped on a bus North to Otavalo for the indigenous Saturday market where the locals sell the wares. Stayed at La Luna hostel in the hills outside of town. Back in Quito at the moment, heading on jungle tour on Wednesday for 6 days.

Virgin on the Hill?
I like the picture but didn't recognize it as being either of you two. Good going though, you are there, how does it feel, have the jitters subsided or have they been replaced by all out panic? How's the food? Rice and beans or huncks of beef pulled off the spit roasting cow? James

Trish who was that fat lad telling you to get up the hill in the cover photo. have a great Christmas living on the side of the road maybe it will soften Kevin's views of the travelling community in port 'Go move shift' by Christy Moore. A tale of a Tuam woman (sham) and a gimp from port who fell on hard times
