Bangkok seems to be a hub I cannot escape! It happens to be the easiest place to base yourself for flights around southeast asia, but I really don't like the city, so it gets to be a pain. So, while I was here for a day before Bhutan, and two days after, I spent my time wandering the streets breathing in fumes, eating pad thai and roti, and shopping.
The most fun way to take your mind off the fact that you are waiting two days for a myanmar visa is to go to the movies! They have great cinemas here, even executive theatres where you can sit in a lazy boy and order drinks! I went to see the new 007 and loved it. I don't think I took any pictures so this is sort of a boring entry. Right now I am killing time in the huge new airport while I wait for my flight to Myanmar. I can only take cash there so I have been walking to every exchange place trying to get dollars from my visa card, everyone said "machine broken, go next place" Finally, I found one, so now I can eat and sleep in a bed for the next two weeks.
