question: what is brown and sticky?
I kept going south through more and more eucalyptus forests and awesome beaches. I have turned off for so many viewpoints and scenic drives its crazy! It really is pretty, but really... so many eucaluptus, it never ends. And they trick you by calling them different names, like "the beautifual karri forest" or "the tallest jarrah tree"...they are all eucalyptus! Different kinds of course, but it is still merging into one giant eucalyptus nightmare. So, I am not over all the birds yet (saw some cool pink and white parrots), but the new thing now is wildflowers. Seems I have hit the timing perfectly to see everything in bloom which is a miracle for me. So I headed to the Stirling Range north of Albany to a place with really unique flowers, it was great. Then headed up through the wheatbelt, which is basically the interior of the west coast, to see some of the smaller farm towns and get off the tourist track a little. I ended up at a park called the pinnacles (definitely on the tourist track) which had some very cool limestone formations coming out of the sand and I saw another kangaroo.
Only a day left in Australia, the people here are great. Listening to them talk is fun, everything seems to be diminutized...brekky, choccy,cuppa,veg... old men say yummy, young men say lovely... it is all very nice.
