We woke up and looked around to see where we were, showered and went in search of a service station.  The signals need fixed, the truck needed and oil change and right as we were pulling in to the spot for the night the front end of the truck made a potencially trip-killing crunching noise. 

the noise did not return, in fact after quickly fixing the signals and changing the oil, the serviceman assured us that everything was tight and in good shape.  They must have thought I am hypersensive to sounds in my truck, but it was loud and anyone who has seen the vehicles i've owned and held together with rust knows I'm not.

Anyway with our clean bill of health, our bellies full from the best taco pizza in the world (topped with doritos!) and the truck running better than we could have dreamed, we got a late start conquring iowa, which is huge.  The weather was great and we camped early.

Got a good campsite, started a fire and cooked a tasty meal over it.
