Really there is quite alot of fun things to keep you busy or you could just lie around the beaches, sip your drinks, take up the sun, drive around.
On Sunday, after my friend finished Diving, we started the Drive to Manuel Antonio. It as a very long road and it took several hours. We decided to keep the drive close to the Pacific so we drove along the Coast Line, passing through many little towns. It was getting late and we realised we needed to stop
We stopped at a little Town called Tarcoles. It was advertising a lot of Crocodile tours, so I am assuming that perhaps nearby there were Croc farms. The Hotel was hosting a wedding so we had to find food elsewhere. This was a very small place, on the beach...and we didn't have to go very far. Actually, there was a bar that sold food...and this was just perfect. The enviroment reminded me so much of home, with the Caribbean music, the beers, food....I really enjoyed being in the little place. It was adorable.
We left around ten the next day and arrived at Pure Vida Hostel around noon! This was a very affordable hostel and we had a wonderful welcome from monkeys passing through in the afternoon. They just dropped in front of our rooms and continued along their trail. I was quite excited about this.
Manuel Antonio's National Park is supposed to be one of the best to visit in the Country. Known for wild life, sea and sand. Its a compact area. I fell sick the first day and was unable to do much of anything and was very disappointed. The town close to the Hostel, who's name eludes me at the moment, thankfully had a pharmacy where I got meds that helped
Next day, we headed out to the Park wich you pay 10.00usd to get in. It had several trails and was able to see a few wild life. One trail led up to a look out of the Pacific and along the way had many little red and blue crabs. I had fun with a few of them. I spotted a monkey and there were Sloths in the Trees. Also saw an Iguana relaxing in the sun.
Getting down to the beach, we had the treat of the monkeys once again passing through. We must have exceptional timing once again to catch the bunch of them as they amused the other people around. I also caught a racoon trying to steal food. They really are little food bandits!
The beach was scenic and enticing.
It was a nice park and one I think is worth the time.
