After sun and rest on Ios we headed to Naxos on a SuperJet ferry for 25,90EUR and I think the ride was about hour. I decided I like the slow boats better that the fast ferries. We fully intended to embark on a full sightseeing day in Naxos since we were there less then 24 hours. The hotel was again chosen from guys standing in the port with signs. After literally giving the lady at the hotel our dirty laundry to wash we were out the door. Naxos was amazing. By far my favorite island. We spent some time at the Archaic Temple of Apollo. Its from the 6c BC. and we wandered thru Castro (The Castle of the Dukes) there are museums scattered here and there but mostly it was residential. On our walk we noticed a sign for a sunset show including traditional greek music and dance (in very little letters at the bottom "all you can drink wine and spirits") We were sold. Found a place to have some pre-cocktail cocktails until it was time to get tickets. Everything on all the islands we had been too seemed to close from 2 - 6 and then opened again from 6 - whenever. We bought our tickets at the Venetian House Museum. The show was in the basement and it was very cool. They weren't kidding when they said it was all you can drink. At the end we were invited to partake in the dancing. I had to pass as all the cocktails made it impossible to walk down the stairs. We did meet up with a couple fo British guys on holiday who invited us to drink some more with them after the show. I have to admit Naxos was our party island as the party didn't stop until 3am. Made it a little hard to make it to that 0900 in the morning. I can also say that I have seen Greek kareoke. Crazy!!
