Another glorious day here in Honolulu, with a maximum temperature forecast of 88F and a minimum of 77F... pretty humid here though with showers in the afternoons and the evening breeze is quite warm although it does cool things down nicely.
We had some breakfast, booked a trip to Pearl Harbour for tomorrow and then had a look around the local area - including  bit of Honolulu proper - before having a walk on Waikiki Beach.

The Bakers went off to do some shopping and so did Sue, so I had a quiet beer, then had a haircut and then retired to the nice air-con in the hotel lobby while I am typing this entry.
Honolulu is a bustling, but not over busy place and there is the usual shops and stalls associated with a thriving touist destination. Sue tells me that the prices are reasonable but not really cheap, but there is a lot of choice and you can bargain a bit.
The famous Waikiki Beach is very beautiful and is packed with swimmers from the early hours, it has lovely clean sand but the beach is getting smaller by the year and is already at the base of a couple of hotels! The dreaded global warming!!!!!

So tomorrow we are off to Pearl Harbour - looking forard to it - although apparently there will be huge queues for the tours so hopefully we will be early enough to beat them all!!!!
