Beginning Week 2 of Training

Hello there everyone,
Well, This past week has been very intense and exciting for my team. Because our training is happening in 1 month instead of 2 months, we have to cram everything into that one month period. This means that we are constantly running to get things done, and to get assignments handed in. Our team is continually growing closer as we begin to prepare for our ministry overseas. On Friday, we went for interviews and evaluations of our gifts in chalk art, puppetry, music, & drama. In the evening, the staff sat down and chose leaders for each team. I was pulled in the office and notified that I would be the team leadership assistant to Shaun, who is our team leader. One of the ladies from Calgary, Joanne will be the ladies representative. The team leader, leadership assistant, and ladies rep. makes up the leadership team for my 4wrd, and I am very excited to be able to help lead the team that I am on. Saturday we began working on our puppetry, drama, and music, and Sunday we started our college Bible/Missions course called Perspectives of the World Christian Movement.
We have been given a bunch of ministry material, and assignments that need to be completed. I never realized going into VTI how intense this would be, and I would not have it any other way. Today, I got to come home for my day off. At VTI, we get Mondays off, and we are also allowed to have people come and visit the retreat center. If you are up for coming to visit me (Which you are more than welcome to), our retreat center is located 45 minutes NW of Calgary. If you are planning on coming up, call me @ 403-637-9907, and just let me know so that I will be around when you stop by, and so that I can tell the cooks, if you are planning to stay for a meal (Which you are also welcome to do).
