We Made It!!!

Hey There Everyone,
Well, it is 4:23am here in Cairo, and Randy and I just arrived to our hotel a few minutes ago. The trip here went extremely smooth, and we had no delays or problems making connections. Heathrow was extremely busy though, and had no place to unload the plane. So they brought stairs to the plane, and unloaded us all off into buses to be taken to the baggage claim area. It took us almost 24 hours to get from Calgary to Cairo, and we got very little sleep. Both of us were extremely tired and felt a little sick on the last part of the trip, but we are definitely feeling better now.
Our hotel is so awesome, and is decorated with egyptian artifacts and paintings everywhere. We had a guy from the tour company pick us up, and help get us to our hotel. They made everything extremely easy for us which was really awesome and nice. The staff at the hotel are also really nice and are ready to help us out with anything we need.
Cairo is really cool from what we have seen of it so far. Driving here is pretty crazy, and Randy and I enjoyed going very fast and weaving in and out of traffic. Today, we have a free day to explore at our own pace and then we will be going to the Egyptian Museum and the Giza Plateau (Pyramids and Sphynx) tomorrow. Tomorrow night we will be taking overnight train down to south Egypt.
