We made it to St. Tropez yesterday, down from Avignon. The drive was really nice and the closer you get to the water the more everything looks like Southern California. We pulled into the swanky town of St. Tropez only to find the entire city was a traffic jam of cars/motorcycles and people. I was, of course, following my trusty navigation system but let me tell you something, I thought for sure it was sending me down sidewalks. Had I not seen other cars ahead of me there is no way I would've turned down these "streets." See the photo above and note the arrow on the nav system...haha.
St. Tropez is a tourist town for the rich and famous. Huge yachts and fancy people and cars. It's almost exactly like taking Bevery Hills and Venice Beach and smashing the two together. There's the dirty streets, but instead of hippie clothes you have Louis Veton shops. Today we head out to a small town outside of Grasse and not far from Nice called Valbonne. From there we'll see Cannes and the French Grand Canyon!

sweet
So... how fast were you going down the 'street' in St Tropez? 50km/h? The pictures were great. I bet you're having a fabulous time. me = jealous.
Running on all cylinders
I am glad that you are enjoying this vehicle. I presume that all cylinders are working! No? Yes? The weather looks great. We had a few hours of that the other day. Boeing continues to observe your absence. I think that is IAW Pro-2, 'Working in the Trent-chez', in which it states that 'all able bodiced employees shall surf the internet to live vicariously while Mr. P mightily trounces the fringes and fierce elements of the south coast of France.' - Bill P
Narrow streets!
Oh, yes, those narrow streets can be a challenge! I wish we had some of those old villages in Southern California.
Your new roof is being put on today.
Miles dog is fine but he misses you.
pictures
We remain facinated by the pictures and on going commentary. Maybe I should have a blog of life here in Mayberry. We went to the five aisle grocery store. We saw a cow today. we went to work yesterday. Somehow, I think your trip is way better. Keep those pictures and entries coming.
