Just relaxing and recovering and running a few errands, as I'll leave for Ko Tao tomorrow.
The next day, Rich, Juliano, and I went to the pier early because I had to go by the police station to get a police report for my camera and insurance. As we wait for the boat we see our Canadian friends and yell for them but they just look around not knowing who or where the shouts came from...maybe we'll see them on Ko Tao. We arrived in Ko Tao and this place definitely has more scuba dive shops per square foot than any place on Earth! The good thing being usually, if you dive with a certain shop you can get discount accommodation. Since Juliano and I will both dive we end up with a large beachfront cabin for 200 baht a night ($5) and there are three of us, so do the math. Well, those Canadian girls must be stalking us because they end up at the same dive shop and accommodation! Actually, I think I told LG where we were most likely going as the dive shop (Scuba Junction) was recommended to me by some English girls in Malaysia. Anyway, I signed up for a Rescue scuba course and spent the afternoon reading a few chapters while lying on the beach. Jen and LG invite us to dinner so we all go off to a beachside barbecue restaurant. We were literally sitting where the tide was crashing and rising up on the beach and at the end of our meal had to leave quickly as we were beginning to get soaked! We went to a few other places for a drink or two and then all went to bed since I had an early scuba class.
