This week at our school we had teachers instead of students. Elementary school teachers from the province came to a teachers training session. The idea was to introduce them to some alternative ideas in teaching English to their students. It turned out to be really great all around as everyone really seemed to enjoy it. From my perspective it was great having "higher level students" in a classroom and, although some of them weren't too excited to be there in the beginning, just about everyone in the end was happy they were able to attend.

They were able to learn some Yoga in the mornings and we had a debate class where they chose the topic of "is it more beneficial to have a large or small family". It was pretty interesting because in the past large families were the most common in Korea, but nowadays smaller families are more common. So there were plenty of teachers who grew up with many brothers and sisters, but only have one or two children. After debate, we taught them a cooking class (making a pizza) and then Patrick and I taught them hockey, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We always ended the day with soe beach time and our drama class. The teachers came up with a "school diary" drama skit, where they re-enacting the first few days of GELC...I was asked to play Lysa, so wearing a dress and acting crazy was my contribution to our drama, which won the best drama award! To end the week, we had a BBQ party involving drinks and BBQ and beach time and a fun soccer game. Our class was awarded with the team award for being the best class and, overall, it was a really great for everyone involved and we all made some new and interesting friends!
