. So, we drank a little and danced and had loads of fun. She and I would stay at my aunt's house for the next few nights, which is a whole other kind of party being that my cousin and her husband and their two kids, Xavier, my godson, and his sister Ammey, live there too! But that's not the end of it because my three other cousins live nearby and they were always over as well with their seven kids, making the house quite...eventful! I'll keep it all short and sweet as we visited and played kiddie games and ate tons of food and had a blast with everyone. Everyone really liked Bochi and she seemed to have a great time after settling into being overwhelemed with people and then kids crawling all over her!
On Friday, the day before the wedding, Bo and I went to Boulder, both to enjoy the scenery and to meet her friend Ward, with whom we would spend the night. First we drove up into the mountains and hiked around and took some great photos. It was a perfect day and it was great we had time to get out into nature, something the two of us really enjoy. Later we met Ward on the 16th Street mall, this king of outdoor walking mall, and had some sushi with Ward and some nice guy visiting from Japan. It was a good dinner with great conversation and I was laso able to find some books that I had been looking for for awhile. Anyway, Ward lives up in the mountains near Golden, I just didn't know how far up there he lived! We drove and drove and drove, eventually driving up to around 9000 feet, but the spread was absolutely worth it as the house was beautiful and the view was even more so. We just hung out really, watched a flick, enjoyed the sounds of solitude and the night mountain air. The next day would take us to my dads house for lunch and then to the wedding!
So I went back to the States to attend Ben and Jenny's wedding, good friends of mine from when I lived in Denver. The added bonus, and maybe what made my decision so easy, was being able to spend some time with Bochi. I flew into LA and we had fun, but it's just so hard to re-adjust to the time difference between Asia and America in only a weeks time together. So I was tired most of the time I was there and I'm out of sorts when I'm not fully rested...regardless, it was fantastic to see her and I stayed in LA, having dinner with a few of her friends and just relaxing for two days before heading into Denver. In Denver I stayed at my pops house and we caught up and then the next night Bo flew in and we immediately went out to meet Jenny and Ben and some other friends at our old stomping grounds, Stampede. This turned out to be quite fun as Stampede is a great western bar and place to dance. I believe it was Bochi's first time in a cowboy bar, so it was an interesting experience with her and she was mighty popular right away, talking with everyone as if they were old friends
