Located on Lake Galve, about 20 miles outside of Vilnius, is the 15th century residence of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, called Trakai Castle. The whole place is Disneylandish in nature, as its this immacculately maintained orange/red brick castle, even though its from the 1320's, on an island in the middle of a clear blue lake...actually it's two castles that sit among five scenic lakes. There are sailboats floating all over and little paddle boats with overzealous fathers sweating like dogs while kids yell "faster daddy" in Lithuanian! In fact, the whole town is surrounded by waterways and rivers and is pretty picturesque.
In other observations, the Lithuanian girls are quite attractive, in a jeans tucked into thier boots way, but they pale in comparison to those Latvian girls! My leisurely day in this pseudo-Walt Disney fantasyland ended by stumbling onto an old homeless man down by the river with his pants around his knees, his bare bum creating a nice reflection in the waters while he took a nice big # 2!!
